About Suncoast Lights

Building Suncoast Lights
since 2023.

Suncoast Lights is a family-owned, owner-led decorative lighting company serving the Greater Central Florida area. Founded in 2023 by Brenda and Roger, it is built on a single idea: this is a service, not a sale.

Why This Work

We are not in this to sell lights.
We are in this for the moments people will never forget.

Brenda fled Cuba, a country where celebrations were restricted for decades and where the holidays her family wanted simply could not happen. The bright, joyful traditions other families took for granted were never hers. What she did have was her father, a man who built satellite dishes, radio systems, and all manner of electronics and carpentry out of scraps, with nothing but ingenuity and his hands. The government confiscated much of what he made, but they could not confiscate the skill behind it, and that is what he passed to Brenda. She carries it into every install.

Roger came from Venezuela, where he trained as an engineer and served in the Venezuelan Navy, engineering its ships, before watching opportunity disappear as his country changed. He came to the United States to start again, to chase his ambitions and provide for his children. He brought with him a precision and discipline that shows up in every detail of the work.

They both arrived in this country with little and worked harder than most people ever will. That is why, when we install lights for a wedding, a Christmas, a milestone, or a home's first permanent roofline that will glow every night for years, we are not thinking about wattage and clip spacing. We are thinking about a family standing in front of their home, taking a photo their grandkids will see one day. A bride walking down a path lit an hour earlier. A child who comes home in December, sees the house, and knows immediately that they are home.

That is what we actually offer. The lights are just the medium.

“The lights are just the medium.”

How We Work

An owner-led operation, end to end.

Suncoast Lights is led by Brenda and Roger directly. Every project is designed and overseen by them, executed with a small group of trusted people brought on as the work demands. There are no franchise reps, no sales departments, no rotating crews. The people who walk your property at the consultation are the people who design the install, show up on the day, and answer the phone a year later if anything needs attention.

Our clients have told us what other companies put them through. The pressure on the call, the upsells, the templated quotes sent for completely different homes. We have also been called in to fix that work, installs where the design touch was not there, where cable management was an afterthought, where the whole thing read as copy-paste rather than something built with care. That is what most of the industry looks like up close. We are not interested in being part of it.

Power management, cable routing, fixture placement, fastening method, daytime appearance. All of it is resolved before a single light goes up. Roger's engineering background and Brenda's craftsmanship mean the technical side is handled with a level of care most companies do not bother with, and it shows in every install.

When something is not perfect, we go back. When a client wants a change after the install, we figure it out. We work with people, not at them.

What Guides Every Project

Five principles behind every install.

Craftsmanship First

The install is the product. Cable routing, clip spacing, alignment, daytime appearance. All of it matters and all of it gets done right.

One Point of Contact

You work with Brenda and Roger directly, from consultation through final takedown. No project managers, no handoffs, no rotating crews.

Service, Not Sales

We recommend what your project actually needs. We do not pitch upgrades, push add-ons, or build artificial urgency. The work speaks louder than any pitch.

Reliability

When we commit, we are there. When something needs attention after install, we respond. For our clients, this is the part that matters most.

Designed, Not Dropped

Every project gets a custom design. We do not subcontract, we do not rent equipment, and we do not run templates. Each install is built for the space it lives in.

What We Do

Lighting for every occasion.

Permanent architectural lighting. Christmas and holiday installations. Event and wedding lighting. Estate rooflines. We handle everything, from design and installation to maintenance, removal, and storage, so the only thing you ever have to do is enjoy the result.

FAQ

Common questions,
answered simply.

Not sure where to start? We have answered the questions most clients ask before booking their first consultation.

Suncoast Lights is a professional outdoor lighting contractor serving Orlando and Central Florida. We design, install, and manage event lighting, Christmas and holiday lighting, permanent year-round outdoor lighting, and Govee smart roofline installations for homes, estates, venues, and commercial properties.

We serve Orlando and Central Florida, including Orlando, Lake Nona, Clermont, Winter Park, Windermere, Winter Garden, Kissimmee, Maitland, Oviedo, Sanford, Altamonte Springs, Apopka, and surrounding areas.

Most Suncoast Lights projects start at $600 and scale based on the size of the home, linear footage, and design complexity. Pricing includes design, commercial-grade materials, professional installation, in-season maintenance, and full takedown and storage.

Our minimum project size is $600. This minimum applies across event, Christmas, and permanent lighting installations, and it ensures every job receives the same commercial-grade materials, custom design, professional crew, and dedicated scheduling that define our work.

Yes. Permanent lighting installations carry a 3-year warranty on the lights and a 3-year warranty on our installation craftsmanship. Govee smart roofline installations using the PermTrack PVC channel carry a lifetime warranty on the channel system itself.

We are a local Central Florida team that handles every project directly without franchising, subcontracting, or rental equipment. Every install is custom designed, built with commercial-grade outdoor-rated materials, and supported end-to-end from consultation through takedown or long-term service.

Yes. We install using methods that do not damage gutters, shingles, or fascia, including gutter clips, fascia-safe clips, and the PermTrack PVC channel for permanent Govee systems. Our team uses professional aerial equipment such as cherry pickers rather than unsafe ladder work at height.

Yes. A 50% deposit secures your booking, with the remaining balance due upon completion of the installation. This locks in your install date during our busy event and holiday seasons.

PermTrack is a rigid PVC channel system from a partner manufacturer that we install on Govee permanent smart roofline projects. It fully conceals the wiring, holds the LED strip in a perfectly straight line along the fascia, and is paintable and color-matchable to your trim for a clean architectural finish.

Our Govee installations with the PermTrack channel produce a comparable architectural finish to Trimlight and Gemstone at a more accessible price point. The main advantage is local service, since you work directly with our Central Florida team rather than through a franchise or national third-party channel.

Yes. Every Christmas lighting package includes full takedown and storage in January, plus in-season maintenance visits if anything needs adjustment during the holidays. You do not need to handle anything after the initial install.

We recommend booking Christmas installations by early fall, ideally between August and October. Installation schedules for Central Florida fill up quickly, and booking early guarantees your preferred install window and takedown date.

Yes. We design and install custom event lighting for weddings, corporate events, private parties, restaurants, and venues throughout Central Florida. Packages include warm-white bistro and market strings, uplighting, tree wash lighting, and full takedown after the event.

Yes. Every lighting system we install can be made app-controlled if you want it to be, from warm white Edison and C9 strings to event uplighting and permanent rooflines. Our Govee permanent roofline systems are the most feature-rich out of the box, with full app and voice control, millions of colors, scheduling, holiday presets, and per-node animations built in.
